Broadley Roofing Ltd requires the highest standard of safety and safe working practices from its employees. It is the statutory and moral duty of Broadley Roofing Ltd management to keep the workplace in a safe and healthy condition. The safety of the general public and our personnel is of paramount importance to us.

  • You can rest assured that we are fully insured for public liability and employer’s liability. We provide job-specific risk assessments and method statements for each contract.


  • Broadley Roofing Ltd employs a NEBOSH-qualified health and safety manager to ensure we comply with all legislation and to support Broadley Roofing Ltd management in ensuring all contracts are carried out to the highest health and safety standards.


  • Our management team are trained to IOSH level in the management of health and safety.


  • We have more than 20 employees, of whom around 50% are employed on one of the UK’s largest steel producing sites in Scunthorpe. On this site, the team leaders are qualified in NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Occupational Work Supervision and CCNSG Safety Passport for Supervisors. All of our British Steel™-based employees are trained to NVQ Level 2 in Industrial Roof Sheeting and Cladding and CCNSG Safety Passport.


  • All employees are trained to safely work at height, including the safe use of safety harnesses, mobile access equipment, and other plant. This would include scissor lifts, telescopic booms, and telehandlers.


  • Non-British Steel-based employees hold certification appropriate to the environments in which they regularly work. These would include CCNSG Safety Passport, CSCS, EUSR Gas Safety Passport, SCO91 Permit Management.


  • All training is regularly monitored, updated, and maintained. We maintain an individual record of training for each employee to ensure a high quality of service.


  • Broadley Roofing Ltd is registered with Achilles™ and certified to category B2, which means that a full external management system audit is carried out annually to further ensure our compliance with health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Broadley Roofing Ltd and the Environment


When it comes to environmental issues, we raise the awareness of our employees on each contract, of the necessity for energy saving and the recycling of materials wherever possible. We will suggest the use of materials with a lower impact on the environment whenever possible, and at our main office we are constantly looking at ways to save energy by improving thermal insulation and applying energy-saving techniques, such as low-energy lighting, paper recycling, and energy usage monitoring.
